Is your current risk management system supporting you in managing your company? How do you ensure under your 'Duty of Care' that your employees are maintaining their skills and competencies? That you are providing them with a safe system of work? That you are providing adequate training for the tasks they are expected to carry out? How do you know that what you trained in the past still being practised today? The KIS Safety System helps you to do all the above. It’s simple to administer, simple to implement and easy to use. Its the logical solution. Supported by innovative, inexpensive computer software it does not require computer specialists to operate. It aligns with Risk Management Standard ISO 31000:2009 and assists in attaining or retaining Quality Assurance accreditation. In the Model Occupational Health & Safety Laws (2010) due to come into effect in January 2012, Section 27(5) details "due diligence" that includes a range of requirements whereby safety systems are not merely established on paper but also implemented together with your people on the ground. In order to be deemed compliant their activities must be regularly monitored, documented & safety issues responded to in a timely manner. The KIS Safety System places the onus of managing the individual risk back with the people carrying out the tasks by involving them in the risk management's document creation and assigning responsibilities. The person responsible for safety or risk management within your company finds that their workload is now shared with other company personnel that are deemed competent. Skills and competency records are created, recorded and reviewed to a schedule - a 'proactive' system and compliant with the Model Act. Australia’s third largest gold producer, Croesus Mining N.L. after successfully piloting the programme in 2003, directed KIS Safety Pty Ltd to implement the programme to its other operations. Since the successful piloting of the programme numerous Australian & overseas companies have, or are in the process of, implementing the KIS Risk Management System.

Company ProfileKIS Safety was established in 2003. The company name came from the old KISS acronym "Keep it Simple Stupid" but the last 'S' was dropped as we believe that if the people within an organisation are trained properly and deemed competent then they are certainly not stupid! Following the 'Keep it Simple' principle, the system's design and supporting software were deliberately made so that any person with basic computer skills could have the system implemented in a matter of hours.
