JHA Writing Service.

We recognise the difficulty within some businesses to find the time to write the analysis behind the tasks carried out and how the process can be given lesser priority within the day to day workload. With this in mind we have been providing a Job Hazard Analysis Writing Service for some of our past clients.

The process ensures that a priority is given to the task as this is part of our business. We find that most company's have some formal documentation in the way of procedures. Using the information contained within we break the task down into steps, identify the controls currently in place and try to ascertain what relevant hazards apply to each step. The hazards in most procedures are not always readily defined. The draft JHA is then returned back to the client for correction and review by the process owners. It is strongly suggested that the people carrying out the tasks be involved in the review as past experience has shown that it is an important area for ownership to take place and it also highlights current work practices that may need correction. To do the review properly the people need to be briefed as to what the requirements are. We can brief the people for you or train one of your people to do this.

When the revised JHA's are returned we make the corrections required and then present them back as version one (now controlled) for management approval and sign off. This now sets up the KIS Safety System for the generation of meaningful documentation.

If no procedures are in place prior to the introduction of the KIS Safety System, then we can also assist in the facilitation process of recording the various tasks carried out within your organisation.
